DISASTER VICTIMS
On Monday 27th May, 2019, Caritas Bo supported fire disaster victims in Semabu and Mongery communities in Bumpe Chiefdom with 19 mattresses, 19 sets of pillows, and assorted household cooking utensils.

This presentation was done together with the Ministry of Social Welfare, Gender and Children’s Affairs, ONS, District Council and other partners.
Caritas Bo actively engages in responding to emergencies which occur in Southern Sierra Leone. The disaster management and response team is a proactive team and has a very strong link with the National Disaster Management Team as well as with other partner organizations with disaster response mandate including The Sierra Leone Red Cross Society, World Vision and the Office of National Security. Such disaster can be me natural like the EVD, Health related like the outbreak of Cholera and fire breakouts especially in Bonthe and Moyamba Districts. Caritas has Faith based partners who promptly response to such appeals.
