Caritas Bo in collaboration with the ministry of Health and Sanitation has received a € 1.2 million grant from BM2 through Action Medeor to set up a midw ifery school in Bo.
The school will target 50 State Enrolled Community Health Nurses (SECHN). The two years programme will provide skills based competencies in modern Midwifery.
Admission of the first set of students will be in October, 2017.
This initial grant will run until December, 2020. Other international organizations like UNFPA and GIZ have indicated intentions to support the initiative in response to the presidential recovery plan.
