Strategic objective 1: Advocate and embark on community-based sensitization and help needy and deprived child from cruelty by 2018
The project has embarked on advocacy and sensitization activities through the engagement of both community and district base structures. Project team carried out sensitization drive through radio discussions with panellist drawn from both beneficiaries and stakeholders, community theatres in market squires and town halls, printing and distribution of fliers and posters, peers engagement and conducting trainings. This initiative have led to community members treating all children living in their communities equally the same way there biological as their biological children are been treated.

This has led to the safety of both project children and the rest of the children in the community. Furthermore, through project interventions, responses to child protection issues have been swift and effective.
Strategic Objective 2: Reduce hunger among 5000 vulnerable rural poor primary school going pupils in Moyamba and Pujehun district respectively by 2018
Before the introduction of the school feeding project in the two districts, our assessment school pupils use to enter into bushes to fetch food and wild fruits. This led to some pupils absconding from school thereby leading to poor performance of pupils in schools.
OUTCOME: Through the procurement of dry ration (Rice)-50gk bags and the provision of condiments with the Training of community stakeholders & school heads on monitoring & food safety, Schools now prepare hot meals for pupils thereby leading to a reduction in the hunger level in the school.
School pupils happily taking their meal during lunch time
According to a concluded annual review of the project for 2017, the Hunger level has dropped considerably in all target schools. This is due to the fact that hot meals are being provided three times weekly in target schools. The community members reported that children are happy with the way they are been served at lunch time.
